DID is a sever form of dissociation (a mental process) which produces a lack of connection in a person’s thoughts, memories, actions, feelings, and the most important – sense of identity. Most of the patient went over severe abuse, especially in childhood, and they separated themselves into many personalities in order to protect themselves.
